Thank you to Truity Credit Union, The Eatery, The Haskell Loft, Hopestone, McGraw Realtors, Cooper & Mill, Crossing 2nd, and Roots+Blooms for graciously hosting pop-up galleries for our artists.

Thank you to all of the AMAZING BAA artists who participated by sharing their artwork and their time visiting with folks about art and the BAA.

And a very BIG and SPECIAL THANK YOU to our wonderful community! So many of you ventured downtown for the evening, had fun and supported the arts in Bartlesville! We are truly grateful.

April was an exciting month with several successful classes and events including our Artful-Day in the Ville Art Walk.  Eight locations and 19 artists provided the public access to some outstanding local art.

Jim Buchan once again filled the studio with 15 budding watercolorists. Jim is a well-respected Green Country artist and is gracious enough to share his talents with BAA. Jim began painting in oil as a boy. As the result of a quick trip to buy oil paints, he found himself signing up for a watercolor workshop. That brief moment in time led him on to a 50-year love affair with watercolor! Watch for his next class this fall.

Live Model Figure Drawing on Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm has kicked off with several people attending. Special thanks to Chuck Parkin for facilitating April and finding people to pose. This is a terrific opportunity to practice your drawing and visual skills.

BAA is committed to sharing the love of art throughout our vibrant community.

To that end, we have established  a scholarship fund for those in need of a bit of help with tuition to attend classes.

For example, did you know that over 20% of the children attending our Summer Art Camp have tuition assistance?

Financial assistance for adults is also available. We ask that adults pay whatever they can towards a class and we’ll make up the rest in exchange for volunteering at FUN BAA events. It’s a win-win for everyone! It’s super easy to apply for tuition assistance with this link.
